School History
Albert Thomas Middle School has proudly served the Southeast Houston community for decades as part of the Houston Independent School District. Located in the heart of South Acres–Crestmont Park, our school is named in honor of Congressman Albert Thomas and is deeply rooted in a tradition of academic support, community engagement, and student empowerment.
Over the years, we’ve partnered with local institutions, piloted innovative programs like the Middle College for Technology Careers, and participated in district initiatives focused on equity and access. While our students face real-world challenges, they also demonstrate resilience, talent, and a drive to succeed. At Albert Thomas Middle School, we remain committed to helping every student grow into a confident, capable leader ready to make a difference.
